Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum & Gift Shop
Presented by the Montauk Historical Society. Montauk Point Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in New York State. The Lighthouse was authorized by the Second Congress, under President George Washington in 1792. Construction began on June 7, 1796 and was completed on November 5, 1796. This 100 foot tower has been part of Long Island's land and seascape for over 200 years and still serves as an active aid to navigation. This is also favorite spot for local and visiting surf-casters, who fish from the rock retaining walls at the base of the cliff in front of the lighthouse. Montauk Library
Montauk's only public library offers a first-class array of services to it's patrons in addition to being a traditional library where you can borrow a book. The recently opened mezzanine is the perfect place to sit and read a newspaper or magazine while enjoying a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean from one of the highest points in Montauk. Large collection of new release and classic movies on DVD and VHS videos. There are many PC's available for public use in the library, several with full Internet access. Free Wi-Fi (Wireless) Internet access if you have your own compatible equipment. The basement of the facility features a small intimate theater/conference room, as well as a state of the art environmentally controlled Archival Room which houses many of Montauk's rarest & historically significant books, photographs and documents.

Second House Museum
SECOND HOUSE, built 1797, is the oldest and most historic building still standing on Montauk. Its purchase, in 1968, by the Town of East Hampton and the New York State Historical Trust, to be operated as a museum by the Montauk Historical Society, established the identity of this community as something much more than a developer's dream, or a place to make money from tourism in summertime and to leave for a warmer climate in winter.

Safe Boating America
SBA Offers NYS Boating Courses, Safety, Certification and USCG Licensing Courses on the East End, Nassau and Suffolk County Long Island and throughout New York State. These courses are often referred to as Boating License or Jetski License courses. Classes open to adults and children 10 years of age and older.
