NOAA Right Whale sightings report for the waters around Montauk Point in Montauk, New York on Eastern Long Island. Boaters should be aware that whales are active in the Ocean and Long Island Sound for many months of the year. Boaters are advised to decrease speed and increase awareness when in areas where Right Whales have recently been spotted.
